Matters arising were:
Votes on the Resolution for the 2014 AGM: The WI AGM is taking place in Leeds on Saturday, 7 June 2013. Anna and Toto will both be attending. As usual, FCWI have been asked to provide our vote on a couple of items.
1. The Public Affairs Resolution – this year we have been asked to vote on the following: Increasing organ donation. The NFWI notes that three people die every day whilst waiting for an organ transplant. We call on every member of the WI to make their wishes regarding organ donation known, and to encourage their families and friends, and members of their local communities to do likewise. (Standon & Cotes Heath WI, Staffordshire Federation)

2. NFWI Annual Review and Accounts – Voted on the adoption of these. As required by NFWI guidelines, a copy has been provided for members to review in advance of the meeting.
NFWI committee – We’re looking for a new committee member to help with membership and fundraising. If you are interested in this, or just in learning more then please come and see a member of the committee. The committee meet one evening a month to discuss official business and takes place with wine and nibbles. It would be great to have you on board.
There is a change to the committee in that we are sorry to say that Sarah is stepping down as
Events Officer and Selina has kindly agreed to take on the role. There will be a handover, so please continue to email the events email address and these will be dealt with. I will confirm when Selina is fully in post. In the meantime, Sarah has kindly agreed to manage a couple of events.
